Hi! I'm Rebecca Soliday (she/ella), a therapist based in Sacramento, California. I have had a lifelong interest in connecting with other people and understanding their experiences, which motivated me both to study and become bilingual in Spanish (despite not having any family ties to Spanish-speaking countries), as well as pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a career as a therapist.
Currently, I provide individual therapy at my private practice in Sacramento, and I also work for a youth suicide-prevention program in Nevada & Placer Counties as a clinical coordinator and supervisor. In the past, I have taught as an adjunct professor with two different Master's programs for Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as developing and providing training on human trafficking to community based organizations throughout Northern California. Prior therapy work has included: working in a group practice with a diverse client base; working with survivors of abuse; working with Spanish-speaking clients on a variety of topics; and working with children and families in a few different settings.
Apart from my work in the mental health space, I enjoy practicing martial arts, spending time with friends and loved ones, having travel or hiking adventures, and exploring creative hobbies.
I graduated with my Master's in Counseling from CSUS in 2013. In 2016, I completed a 72-hour PCIT training on domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, through Empower Yolo. I have worked with clients in both English and Spanish as a bilingual therapist for over 12 years.
I am a member of CAMFT (California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists) and regularly seek training on various professional topics of interest, from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to expressive arts therapy, and broader trauma trainings.
I have been licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #108582) since 2018.
